Kayigi Andy, known as Andy Bumuntu, in Rwandan music industry, has now retired from his position at Kiss FM.
Andy Bumuntu stated that resigning from Kiss FM was a decision he made after much thought, but it was a tough choice. He used to work on the Kiss Breakfast Show, which aired from Monday to Friday. The show will now be hosted by journalist Anitha Pendo, who recently left RBA. She is said to be replacing Sandrine Isheja Butera, who was appointed Deputy Director of the RBA.
In his farewell message, Andy said that he had a great time at Kiss FM and gained a lot of knowledge and skills. He expressed, “Every morning, I was proud to start the day with you. We shared laughs, sweet conversations, and moments that I will always miss.”
He continued, “Due to new responsibilities and other activities in my life, I made a strong decision to follow a new path. However, I will still miss the mornings we shared.”
Andy Bumuntu emphasized that he has not said goodbye to his fans and that they will continue to connect in one way or another. He added, “Even though I have retired from Kiss FM, I will continue to be with you through other interesting projects.”
