Rayon Sports has officially announced the departure of Haruna Ferouz, who served as the club’s second assistant coach. The decision marks another significant change within the team as it continues to adjust both on and off the pitch.
The Burundian coach joined Rayon Sports on July 15, 2025, after signing a contract that placed him on the technical bench alongside then head coach Afhamia Lotfi. Ferouz was appointed as the second assistant coach, tasked with supporting the technical staff in training and match preparation.
Reports indicate that his exit follows growing internal concerns after Rayon Sports’ heavy 4–1 defeat to APR FC in the Super Cup. In the days after that match, it was alleged that Ferouz had advised head coach Bruno Ferry to field players who were not adequately prepared, a situation that reportedly contributed to tensions within the coaching setup.
His departure comes shortly after several players also left the club earlier in January. Among those who have recently parted ways with Rayon Sports are Serumogo Ally, Harerimana Abdoulaziz, and Adama Bagayogo, highlighting a period of transition for the team.
On the pitch, Rayon Sports is currently struggling for consistency. The club sits ninth in the league standings with 25 points and has gone three consecutive matches without a victory. As the team searches for stability, attention now turns to their upcoming fixture.
Rayon Sports is preparing for its final match of the first half of the league season, in which it will face Mukura VS. The match is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, and will be played at Muhanga Stadium.

The result of this game could be crucial as the club looks to regain momentum and rebuild confidence moving into the second half of the season.
